vacuum?

what should the vacuum be after install of 260 cam,i was told by a mech. that the vaccum will drop off a bit with a bigger cam...i also have the offy and the duel header..before the mods.the vac. was 18..with the mods its 15...i did the wd40 test and sprayed all over and did not hear a increase in speed....

I have the Comp cam 260 my vacuum is between 14 and 15 lbs. How do you like the cam? I love the sound at idle, has a nice lope to it in gear at 650 RPM. Russell

How does the comp cam perform? I have one installed in my engine getting ready to go in the car. I can't wait to fire it up and run it with my Offy.

Slade you will love the idle with this cam. My car is a little weak on take off ( needs a better toque converter) but once the The RPMs reach about 2500 it pulls strong to 5000. With beter valve springs it would go 6000 RPMs. I put stock 250 valve springs in when I rebult the head, I need to put vale spring shims on to raise the spring pressure a little more. Russell

I put the Comp Cams springs in. I also have a manual tranny...so that is good information. Thanks.
