Valve cover project

So while waiting for the head to get back from CI I started thinking about the valve cover. At first I was going to go with one of their covers which look great but in trying to keep the project costs down I started looking at the cover that came with the head. Well two weekends and about $25.00 later this is where I am at;http://i843.photobucket.com/albums/zz357/lorwood/valvecover.jpg http://i843.photobucket.com/albums/zz357/lorwood/valvecover3.jpg http://i843.photobucket.com/albums/zz357/lorwood/valvecover2.jpg http://i843.photobucket.com/albums/zz357/lorwood/Valvecover4.jpg
Sorry about the obligatory shot with the car!

Thanks. Its been one of tose projects that I reall have enjoyed doing. Unlike others that just drive you crazy! Can't wait to see what it looks like polished and clear coated.

Great, one-of-a-kind, work. You will love the way this cover seals. They are so much better at sealing than the cheap, chromed ones that are on the market- and it is unique. Now, let me suggest that you find a stock type air cleaner and lid that will fit your carb and do it up to match the valve cover. Carry the theme throught the engine compartment.

Good job. Keep the stuff coming.

Dave,
Thanks! Thats a great idea keeping it through out the engine bay. And as the bay has been recently professionally painted the prep time will be much less. I don't know if you can tell in the pictures but the inspiration was Ford corporate blue (of course) and the red (Falcon red I was told) was a tribute to the origins of the 200. Of course only we get the reference but what the heck! :D
