Can someone tell me or direct me to a posting on valve stem seal replacement on a 200cid. I have read the shop manual but it seems alttle wordy. Also, I have heard of using a rope instead of air?
1. remover the sparkplug of the cilinder
2. turn the crank until the piston is at TDC (top dead center) with both valves closed (compression stroke)
3. screw in an adaptor in the sparkplughole and connect it at the compressor. (you can easily make an adaptor with an old sparkplug: remove the ceramic and weld a tube in place and connect a hose to your compressor.
4. the airpressure will push the valve in his seat so you can remove the retainer.
