Valve stem seals

Disaster strikes! I wasn't being very careful and I pulled the # 3 exhaust valve pushrod out cause it was in the way. I lifted the lifter out of it's bore and it's laying sideways in a void above the camshaft.

I'll try to fiddle it back in place tonite but if I fail it's off with it's head.

Can you get it with a magnetic tool?

Yup! Got it done last evening. Just enough room for my eye, my flashlight and a good magnet. It took a little fiddling but I succeeded in about 20 minutes.

I didn't want to pull the head. Wheeewww! No I can get the rest of the stem seals replaced.

I did find a tag indicating that the engine was remanufactured at TAM Engineering Corp in Tacoma Wash. I don't know when but this must be the reason everything looks so new inside the engine. TAM supplied reman engines under license to Ford and also supplied NAPA. I can't find the company on the web or phone books so they could be out of buisiness
