valves and springs for oz 2v

I am done porting and polishing the intake runners and the exhaust ports. I still need to get the exhaust port divider but am wondering about valves and springs?

most machine shops don't work on the log head much less an OZ 2v. it looks like it already has 1.75I and 1.6E valves.

do i need to replace valves? what about the valve guides themselves? i think i saw someone here going to chevy valves?

Let me know (part numbers hopefully)

Thanks,
Pete

They may have been upsized already. Stock exhaust was about 1.39 inches diameter. The old speed trick was larger exhausts, stock intakes. This was recognising that the inlet side already outflowed the exhaust.

You can get K-line type guides or whatever your preference may be, installed to suit the valve stems of choice. Don't worry about what the parts are for - it's whether they fit.

youre right i just measured the Exhaust is 1.4 and the intake is 1.65 or so.( measured thru a zip lock bag)

are these the stock sizes??

Yep! If stuff needs renewing, it's your call what stem size - just change the guides to suit, if you need to.
