I'm looking for a replacement voltage regulator for my 223. I'll be keeping the stock ignition for the time being, but I may upgrade to a Duraspark II setyp, and possibly do a generator-alternator swap in the future. The application is a '62 pickup.
What type of regulator should I use? Should I stick with a stock points-type replacement, or is there a more common (and cheaper) electronic option? Can I use an electronic regulator with the stock generator setup?
