This was taken off of their website. I don't know what basis they are using to support this claim other than if you claim a 300% increase in mileage, then it must have 3 times the energy.
According to my table of physical properties, hydrogen has a gross btu content of 324.2 per scf. I don't have the btu figures for a cubic ft of vaporized gasoline. But being a mixture of many hydrocarbon compounds which contain carbon hydrogen chains that are more dense than hydrogen, it is going to have more energy content in the range of 4,000 to 6,000 btu per scf.

Hydrogen suffers from very low energy density by volume. This is one of two or three main deterrents to using it as a fuel source in transportation.
You need a BIG tank. Look at the space shuttle.
