I'm using 3 weber set up for about nine years...I had a mr.gasket fuel regulator to reduce flow....it stater to leak, question is...do I really need one...I know weber said the 34 ich works best at less than 3..how much pressure does the stock fuel pump put out

It's been a really long time since I measured the fuel pressure on a stock mechanical pump. I recall something like 5-7lbs being normal. I run a Holley low pressure regulator on my tri-carb set up. This isn't the first case of the Mr. Gasket regulator leaking that I've heard of. I'd bet if you searched this forum you'll find a few posts about that regulator leaking. I found the webers won't run well without the regulator, at least not on my set up.

8) ,ost stock mechanical fuel pumps can put out anywhere from 6-9psi, though some have been known to put out as much as 12psi, so yes you need the regulator. i would replace the one you have with a low pressure holley adjustable dual outlet regulator. that way you can run a return line, or put a gauge there to allow you to adjust the regulator while the engine is running.
