Hi everyone, to restart my 223 I planned to modify the fuel supply by removing the mechanical pump and installing an electric pump which sucks with a pressure regulator, I had done it on an engine of Dauphine that I had refurbished and it worked really well.
The electric pump should work fine. Just keep the fuel pressure low, the original carburetor does not respond well to higher pressures (up to 7 psi) that some pumps produce. I don't remember a specification but under 4 psi should be okay.
The pressure regulator allows you to adjust the pressure with a graduated pressure gauge so I can adjust the pressure as I want, I had also read that 4/5 psi was needed, thank you for your response
