I am taking a new job 200 miles away and a new baby is on the way . . . it's a long commute, and i need to get practical but I refuse to give up my falcon.

I have been running 3 weber ich carbs on an offy adapter on my 200. It runs great by the way. . .

I need to get better milage and less vacum leaks (my bi-annual gasket changiong ritual to fix leaks will be tough to do - i'm going to be busy changing diapers)

I am planning to re-install my stock head and 1 weber 34 ich carburetor.

Can anyone suggest jet sizes for the single carb? idle, main, and air corrector. . .

I am afraid if I run it as it is jetted now it will go lean and burn up the motor in the middle of my first commute.

It depends on how you had the linkage installed/adjusted. The standard setup runs a progressive linkage. If that is the case you have been running on the single already for some time.

Good luck, Ric.

Isn't the the cfm of the 34 ICH less than that of the stock single on a 200? I could be wrong, but I seem to remember that from somewhere.

in response to 66 200 i6- I have been running non-progressive . . . but a lot of people do run progressive with these same carbs.

but even so. . . wouldn't i be in danger of leaning out at high rpm's where the secondary carbs would normally kick in but now wouldn't?

isn't there a formula to figure out a starting point for jet sizes?
