Howdy all.

Here is a pic of the fuel pump in the 170 I am going to install with a C4 Automatic in my 63 Ranchero.

I have never seen one like this on a Ford.

There are 4 connections on this thing - and I am assuming 2 are vacuum and 2 are fuel.

The bottom tube that is already on it is the fuel to the carb.

The upper tube that is already on it is going to a port under the carb on the intake manifold.

Can anyone explain to me what all 4 of the connections are for?

Also, where does the C4 vacuum line connect to the engine?

I have the same fuel pump on mine. The top vacuum lines are for the vacuum operated windshield wipers. When I converted to electric wipers I just plugged off the one vacuum line going to the wiper motor.

If you get a fuel pump for a 200 it dosen't have the ports for vacumme.. so you won't need to block them off. on my c4 the vacume line i think went into the intake. find a motor book. the local libraries have them and you can get copies of the vaccume lines.
