what carbs should i use for a 3x1 intake.

I've been foolowing this thread, very interesting.

Since you used the hole saw after getting the exhaust pipe welded on, are the intake runners for the outer two carbs smooth? Meaning, is there a lip on the log intake? It looks like there is in one of the pictures.

If you need any additional pictures of a linkage or anything, just let me know, I have the offy on my 66.

not yet, i was going to use cable throttle and make something like the offy linkage (with the 2 rods connected to the middle one). then i thought i could simplify it by using the cable in place of the rods anyway.

its rough, but does this look like it would work:

If you haven't already removed that lip, a carbide burr on an air-powered die grinder will handle it in about 5 minutes. WAY faster than anything else, 'specially a dremel.

i took care of it with the dremel, its all nice and smooth. there is one picture where you can see in it and tell that it has been smoothed out, but i dont know if i posted it. ill go back and look, if i havent ill go take a picture of it and post it too.

i would really like to see the pics of your linkage, any help i can get wiht that is apprecitated. im still not sure how to do it.

Ok, yeah, that looks a lot better.

Shoot me a pm with your e-mail address and I can take any pics you would like. I'll just need to lower the car from the lift to take them. I do have some on my hard drive though.

Bill

i sent you a pm. i need a pic from the passenger side that doesnt have anythhing in the way, but mostly i need a picture of how you connected the stock pedal/rod to the linkage. thanks again.

I used the factory stock linkage, but did have to modify it some. It isn't the final product since I am not happy with how it looks, but it works just fine.

I'll e-mail you what I have on this computer and then take some more for you.

Bill

thanks bill. i have a pretty god idea of everything now, i think ill start buying pieces and see what works.

edit: and does anybody know what the "V" shaped things are called.

Bellcranks.

Available at finer Junkyards near you. 8)

Patrick, I'm impressed. That doesn't happen easily.

If not so much by overall workmanship or anything like that - merely by the straitforward approach taken and that you moved from concept to completion in a reasonable period of time.

If more people took that sort of matter-of-fact approach to projects like this, a whole lot more would get done.

Good Job. I can't wait to see it run.

well, it is running!(sort of). anyways, what jets is everybody using in their webers? where did you get them?

Best (least expensive) source for weber jets and stuff I've found is a guy on ebay that goes by Alfa1750. He's in Italy, so shipping takes 2 weeks, but he's WAY cheaper than anybody else I found.

Just checked, didn't see anything for ICH, but his jets range from $1.50 to $2.75

they should work, the holes look like theyre a little too far apart for the webers, but you can redrill it.

# FLAN-STL-38MM, or # FLAN-STL-GRBOV looks like it will work, but you would have to call and ask for measurements.

I'm getting ready to fire up for the first time I'll try a 155 on the center carb and see what happens .
