I found this on ebay but dont know much about it. It is an electric supercharger.

Is this BS or will it actually show a big HP gain? Will it be comparable to standard turbo or supercharger? What are the disadvantages?

WOW that thing will create 2.1 PSI of boost - thats gotta take a couple of seconds off the 1/4mile

You might be better off hooking up some tubing to your intake that you can blow into when you need some extra air. bottom line - don't waste your money. we have discussed these before and someone said that they were acually made for boats or something to vent out air.

would you even feel 2.1 psi - now maybe if they put out 10 psi we would be buying them

2 psi against a closed chamber... maybe, but not into an engine manifold otherwise running at a vacuum. It could be mounted up to blow some of the hot air out of a tight engine compartment. Its advertised use is just that also... hot air.

I can't believe people are still falling for this crap, and then buying it. 2.5 psi is nothing, and CFM ratings are even more of nothing. They're static ratings, measured in a completely open environment. Add any backpressure, and those numbers are gone.

I believe that anyone selling these things should be strung up, and left to rot.

You could build a closed box around the air filter and plumb a cool air duct to a scoop below the bumper and ram more than 2.5 psi.

The blowers listed in most of these ads are bilge evac blowers or some other air exhuast blower. Squirel cage blowers will move some air, but flow stalls at the least back pressure.

Bet that the original manufactures are tickled that a new market has been opened up to duped ricers.
