a 1962 ford 200 h block from the marine factory in 1960 the order for high nickel steel went out for that factory witch was a mistake in the 1st place but it was that mistake was over looked until the early 70s when the paper work was checked because the cars coming out of there were more expensive than all the other plants so all the motors that came out of that plant have a super high nickle content and that makes all the internals as strong of stronger then forged

If you have a 1962 200 block, then it only has 4 main bearings; 7 mains weren't added until late 64. All of the early rods were forged, the late 70's are the ones to avoid.

Where was this factory and what are the casting numbers associated with it? Where do we look to find these blocks?

In regards to what else you need, a good machine shop. It would be nice to find one that has a torque plate for when they bore and hone your cylinders to keep them round. You also need to O-ring your block if you're going to turbo it. The best upgrade you could do is purchase the Aluminum head from Mike, just ask Does10s.

My father has been telling me to look in Ford Industrial and Marine applications for Ford 200 inline sixes but I have never found any inline sixes. Found a 2.3L OHC propane motor in a forklift but never a inline six.
