Looks like a Ford to my eyes. Also looks like an econoline cast iron bell. If you look real close you can see that the large pattern on the tranny is not used.

Need better pics.
That makes sense--recently came across shifter knob for a 4speed on the tree shifter for a Dag 4 speed in small econoline. I have never seen a 4 on the tree except a couple off the wall Brit cars--Humber comes to mind-- neat ol cars from the 40'-50's.
Maybe pirated the whole running gear off an Argentinian death squad van .

Danwagon: My father's Renault has 4/tree. Later they went to a 5/tree, still rod linkage. Didn't see a cable column shift before the Japanese vans started getting it.

If the "Mystery Motor" is Argentinian then it's probably a 221. Al, go and make an offer. If he accepts, you can get Slade to stash it while you paint the thing up to match the present 200.

I'm not an expert, but if I was a 'bettin man' I would say that
it's an alum. argie intake manifold. And if I'm correct, then it's
a true 12 port argie cylinder head. Thats my 2 cents worth.
Paul.

I'm curious to go see it, but not bring it home. My car is for sale so I can stop spending money ;) :P  :?

Maybe CobraSix needs it ;)

1500 seems cheap for a complete roadster.....wish I were closer. No, wait....no I don't! I have enough stuff in the garage already!

It's just the motor / tranny advertised for $1500. Not sure about the car though.

$1500 for just the motor and trans? Ok, not quite a deal.

Especially if everything needs to be gone through - I'm assuming the motor needs some work.
