What is the latest info on Jacks 200 Crossflow hybrid?

so far, only one person (to my knowlege) has made one, and that would be Jack

pretty much everything is a DIY deal, check out the front page, it has a link to the how-to's

Maybe I'm a little "over the top" here, but... ...
have you thought of borrowing a page from the late 1990s and using a crank-triggered setup from a V6, then install the coils on each plug, like those do?

At worst, you would have to install the magnets in/on the balancer.

I only bring it up because it's so clean and the junkyards around here are full of them...

Mark, the setup I'm building is crank triggered. It is not coil-on-plug but it uses a DIS coil pack. This will eliminate the distributor completely. I will cut the top half of the distributor off and just use the lower half to drive the oil pump.

It is going to use a junkyare V6 Ford EDIS module, crank trigger wheel, and pickup.

hey could one make a billet ring that would bolt ont eh balancer puller holes that holds a magnet?

what about the GM setup I think it is that MSD uses on the end of a dizzy shaft....just a plugin for the pickup?

Most don't use magnets. They use a toothed wheel that looks like a gear with a missing tooth to provide a crank position.

I'm going to use a bolt on trigger wheel from a 93-94 thunderbird 3.8. All the Ford systems use a 36-1 wheel no matter what the number of cylinders. The EDIS I have is for is for a Ford V6.
