what jets to use with a 240 carb on a 170?

what jets to use with a 240 carb on a 170? or 1100/1101 carb from a 240 on a 170 also looking for a newer 200/250 cyl;ider head to mate with my old girl and having NO luck.

i would think i would want smaller jets but have no idea what 2 sets to buy also what else would i need to tune this creature?... and any good sources

I am assuming this is an Autolite 1101 from '65 - '67? Jetting is unique to each application and situation. IIWY I'd start with the stock jetting which, will likely be too rich. But better to start too rich than too lean. Read your plugs and assess your tune up. Note the number on the stock jet. If it is too rich find a jet 2 or 3 numbers lower and try again.

Your best source for jets is to glean them from other Autolites. New ones are scarce and rather pricy. I hear Pony Carb has them. Give them a try. 888-280-4630.
