Here's what I've done:
200 six bored 030. over crank and rods .010 under
head milled .030 due to a score
block squared and true
harderend seat on small intake head (1.5) bore
stock distributor with/ pertronix electronic ignition. and hot coil (mustangs unlimited)
Clifford duals 2 1/2" flowmasters and 2 1/4" after the mufflers. (with port divider)
clifford weber 32/36 progressive carb/ with clifford adapter.

I've got a stock regrind cam (big mistake) and I'm going to change it over the winter.
My question is what is the best cam choice for that set up? It was bebuilt using a stock rebuild kit from Northern Auto parts, then I added the clifford stuff. No real performance components, stock pistons, rods, rockers, etc....
I want to inprove performance with a hotter cam, but With the head being alreay shaved, I'm not sure what else has to be changed - as far as rocker arms, springs , pushrods, lifters, etc.... I've got a little money to play with, and I want this to preform as good as possible with what I've alreadly put into it. Please help, thanks[/url]

Hello to yet ANOTHER NEW MEMBER! Welcome! Just look out for the freaks & you'll be ok. Seems like you've done quite a bit of work already to your 6. As for the re-grind,your right to pitch it. As for the replacement cam the choice is up to what you decide, that is,after you ask the pros. As for me,I'm content with my stockers. Good luck! :) OO6.

You are fortunate in that there are choices out there for cams.
Just a few.. Clifford, Schneider, Comp, Crane, Crow, FSPP...

Go here, mike lists a lot of great info about cam selection...
take a look at his, they are well priced.

For that setup and what you have, you can run in the 260-270 range.
Is it an auto or manual?

I am running a 270 dual pattern with a T5 tranny and 3.25:1 gearset, and love the feel and torque.. my block build is similar to yours.

it really depends on how you drive the car and what you want...?

Welcome. Look here for more advice:

It really depends on what you want and the type of driving you do. If you do a lot of street driving, around down...don't go too crazy on the cam, you'll hate the low end. 252-272 is a good range for street driven cars.

I'm running a totally rebuilt back to stock C4 tranny. Stock rear end, not sure on the ratio - I'll check the tag next time I see the car.(It's garaged away from home) Do I need to get shorter pushrods?. I'm .030 down on the head height, and in theory, I should probably have gone with .030 shorter pushrods, add a higher lift cam..... I just don't want to go to all that work, put it all back together, and have the lifters bottom out or wrap. I'll check those sites. Thanks to all for the nice welcome

If you have adjustable rockers, then you should be fine. If you have non adjustable, you may need to shim the rocker pedistals. I'm not sure if .030 is enough to warrant concern.
