Long story short. Filled up with gas. Traveled 50+ miles, then it cut OFF.
I checked the Coil spark, Spark plug spark, gas press, turned fan to check if rotor turned with no slop, checked my timing i.e removed #1 spark plug and turned motor to TDC, right on it's mark.
All this time when I turn the key. The motor keeps turning over. It wants to start, but it just sputters on.
HELP!..ZZ

hey man,

i was in the same situation as you until after about a week it dawned on me to check out fuel. Mine turned out to be the carburetor and both fuel filters and fuel pump. if i was you i check these things.

Is it at all possible that you have some sort of fuel blockage? Here is the angle I am looking at with that comment.
If you have an older fuel tank, that may be some rust or crud at the bottom. Is it at all possible that you may have knocked some of that stuff loose and it has plugged something up in your fuel system?

I second (or third) the fuel blockage. Happened to my Autolite 1100. The blockage actually occuring in the carb. I could only keep it running if I kept the RPM above 2000 RPM, above the idle circuit, it would keep running. I know it was the carb because when I made it home, I swapped out carbs and it ran perfectly.

Quick check for the fuel blockage, pull your air cleaner off, look down the carb throat, and pull the throttle open. You should see a strong squirt of fuel, if not, you know where to start.

I was double checking a few things. The spark from the coil to the distributor was fine, but the spark from the dist. to the spark plug looked alittle faint.
I bought a coil on the way home from the gym and installed it.
Cranked right up...Geez
