When did they switch form the good rockers to the cheapies? know it was the early sixties. Can the 144, 170 and 200 rockers be interchanged? Meaning can I put the old (Good) style on a 1968- 1976 200.
Mike.

Mike,

Officially it was 1964. That's when they made the change over to hydraulic cams and didn't need the adjustable rockers. Many 1965 models used the earlier rockers also - Ford's "Empty the Bin" policy.

You can use these with any 144-200 with the early pushrods (Ball-Cup vs Ball-Ball), and also on a 250 with a custom pushrod.

www.rockerarms.com is a great place for a reman'd set.

Thanks John, would it be a good idea to use the older style with the ME head? Just trying to get all my ducks in a row.....lol.
Mike.

Deffinitely find you a set for the ME. They are an great upgrade to a standard head also.
