where should i get my 250 head?

I got a head from Mike in Santa Clarita. I think I'll use it for a core swap after I get done shaving it or hogging out the log or doing some provisional bolt ups. You can probably get a salvage head at a bone yard and swap it in for the 250. Depending on the shop, they'll probably take what you got in exchange for what you want.

Howdy Scott:

Please reread the sticky on head swaps at the top of this forum. You will note that after '69 all 200 and 250 casting are the same.

If you're looking for the best head to upgrade, look for a casting of '76 and later. Good donors in the recycle yard are Mavericks/Comets, Fairmont/Zephr's, Mustangs/Capri's of '80 to '82, Granada's/Monarch's, and Bronco's.
