Well guys, i finally found a head. Its dirty, but i can clean it all up. My next question is which carbs will fit on this head? I was kind of sad to give up the old Autolite 1100, but I guess it'll have to go. Any imput would be greatly appreciated. Ive heard the Carter is the only way to go, but im not too excited about putting a cable throttle in my Mustang. Thanks guys.

Howdy Ihavea:

No need to leave the Autolite camp! If you want a stock appearing carb with stock linkage, air cleaner and fuel lines consider an Autolite 1101 from a '69 Mustang 250 engine. It is rated at 215 CFM and appears stock to most.

It has no SCV so you will either have to use a '68 or later distributor or tune your '66 Load-a-matic distributor to a full manifold vacuum source.

Adios, David
