which crossflow?

well I currently have a 200" crossflow core motor and soon will be getting a 250 efi motor. which one is better to build up? looking for either a highway cruise or a strip motor (would it make a difference on a base motor in that case?) either way it is going to be boosted.

well I might be looking to build both motors (why not?) so I take it for a mild street motor use the 200 and then build the 250 full tilt?

Build the 250. A 20% increase in cubes has to be worth something...

Nick - the 200 would be your better "screamer". There's one with triple Webers in a 9-second Cortina here, from memory.

The 250 just hauls. It drinks fuel, but will give you consistent power. The EFI cam grind is pretty good from factory. I'd put that motor and box straight in, and let it shake down for a year.

well I guess I will pull the head on this 250 when I get it here and see what the motor looks like and compare the heads. I have a feeling I am going to end up at least with a crow cam and timing set in the 250 and since I have none of that for the 200 I will just transfer parts over and build a "left overs" motor. I am sure someone stateside will pick up an affordable rebuilt crossflow motor.
