Does anybody know off the top of their heads what the distance between the motor mounts is on a 200 or 250?

thanks

I remember in the Cross Flow Chronicles, Jack said the US 250 was about an inch wider between bosses, so that makes about 10.5" on the US 250, and (just wait, I'm downstairs to check)

9.25" on the US 200 and 9.625" on the Aussie 250. I haven't double checked. Each generic block has its own oil pan and casting, so unlike a V8, there are lots of changes to get a 173% increase in capacity. Like casting the whole block up to 1.25" wider, 1.67" taller than the first 144.

Yep. The bosses are the same, but are about 1" further apart. Because of the angled design of the engine mounting brackets on early Mustangs, that causes the engine to mount an inch higher than the 200.

Slotting the bolt holes on the mounts helps lower the engine in that application.
