Will a '68 200 bellhousing fit a '66 200???

???? wonderinging if a '68 200 bell for manual trans is the same bolt pattern as a '66 200. Wanting to convert my '66-200ci back to a manual trans(currently automatic). Trying to find viable parts that will work.
 
If the block is a '66 then it will. The '68 bellhousing is for the synchronized 3.03 transmission. It won't work with the 2.77 tranny that originally came in a '66.
 
good cool... it is a '66 block. I am planning on going to either the synk'd 3.03 or a T-5WC from a four banger.
 
good to know for me also as my buddy would like to upgrade his 2.77 to a 3.03 and I have a '68 bell laying on the shop floor. He already has a 9" flywheel and he wants to upgrade to a diaphram style pressure plate instead of the original 3-fingered one.

If anybody knows whether or not he will have to modify his driveshaft I would appreciate knowing..
