the AOD will only work with a V8 block, might be possible to adapt it to the late I6 blocks though

but the AOD sucks up too much power for it to really be worth it, possibly a built one might be power-efficient enough to be worth it, but i'm not sure

I wish I could put the AOD from my 86 Bronco II into the falcon. It might bolt up to a 250 or a BB 200 that I have heard mentioned around here, but not onto high mounted starter blocks. I've thought about moving the whole 2.9L EFI. But I'd never disable my BII. I'd have to pull it from a Ranger or another BII donor. I suppose a tranny from a fuel injected vehicle may need the computer to shift properly. Too many unknowns for me.

The bench racers' hit pick so far seems to be the TH-700R4 due to a combination of weight and sizing. We're all hoping someone else gets it worked out and shares the "how to" with us!

Regards, Adam.

Do a search for posts on AOD. Look specifically in the Drivetrain section. I've covered this topic a number of times.

If you still have questions, keep posting, that is what we are here for :D

i appreciate the help guy's. i did that search apparently, theres no way to do it. so i geuss im gonna wait untill i can afford a 250 swap, and then worry about it thanks again.
