Does anybody know where I can order a new 1 speed wiper switch for a 65 mustang online? I went down to Ford, Napa, Kragen, none had the switch or carried it.

I've been looking for a while. I found a few places but they wanted $60   for it!

Thanks for the help!

I'd sell you my wifes, but she may get pissed when she tries to turn on her wipers.

(it still in use)

Good luck. Ford didn't seem to think that anyone would ever need new ones, and they stoped making them about 10 years ago. Aftermarket mfgs. never made many of them, and no one still does. Best place to find one is a junk yard.

until then, use tons of rain-x and drive real fast in the rain

You could always make one yourself since it's a single speed and essentially an off/on switch. Any 12vdc toggle switch rated for the current in the circuit will work. Better than no wipers until you find a switch that's priced right.

for now I have a $3 toggle from autozone hanging under my dash. get one that it lighted and then you can wire it to park correctly. I just inserted on tab of the switch into the old plug and made a little harness from some crimp connectors to finish it up. I am goign to a 2speed motor this summer (have the motor need a switch and harness) so it is just temp for me.

I have a single speed wiper switch with the push in for the windshield washer pump. I know it worked when I took it out of the car. You can have it for what ever the postage may be. If you are using your Mustang for a daily driver. Why don't you just convert the wipers to two speed intermitant. This is easy to do by just using parts from 1973 to 1980 Ford trucks and it is bolt in with the exception of mounting the delay box. I have done this to my 65 Comet and it works great. Let me know if you want the switch

Thanks for all the ideas guys. I was thinking of wiring my own toggel switch in there for now. I got to go figure out which contacts go to what. I may have found one but not sure yet. I'll let you know if I need yours PLP6400.

I like the idea of "Lots of Rain-X and drive real fast!"

Thanks,
Paul

if it is like mine there are three wires...

one is a switched hot
one is for the park mode
and the other is the run mode.

just find the hot and the other two will be cake.

mines got 5 contacts on the rear of the switch. I havn't had the time to go out with the multimeter yet but plan on doing it if I can't get a new switch.
