Won't stay running

Hi

Just started my mustang for the first time after everything was replaced.
New 200,new C4,MSD ignition,Holley 5200.seems everything is hooked up right but it will not stay running.Turns over easy enough but runs for a few seconds and bogs out.
What would be the most common problem?
Any help would be appreciated,

I'd say your base timing is way wrong. If possible, fit a points distributor just for the startup, and set it to about 6°BTDC. When everything else is confirmed, swap back.

More details needed on 'MSD ignition' like whats the dizzy, what are the msd parts ect...

its a MSD6 hooked into a Duraspark.The MSD is the only module I am using and followed the diagram.
I set the idle screw very high and it is running now and it stays running so I will do the timing and hopefully turn down the idle screw.My generator light(switched over to alternator)is staying on while the car is running and I am not sure this is correct.
