Xflow flywheel to OHC

Can anyone tell me if the Xflow flywheel will mate up ok to an OHC engine?

I'm doing a manual conversion to my EL ghia over the xmas break and am having trouble sourcing a flywheel for the OHC.

Nope, sorry, the flywheel and whole crank was changed when the EF came out.

From then on, the EF and EL used 8 bolts rather than 6, and a different fully counterweighted crank. Still has 160 teeth, just like the US 62-65 Fairlane 260 flywheel it was patterned off.

Where did you get that information from?
It's still 6 bolts for the flywheel-to-crank connection.

I just dont know if the holes will line up the same, you know how they have the holes drilled in such a way that only allows them all to line up in one position.

Pattern is the same from 1970 to current.
Flywheel will fit as long as its unleaded. They have smaller (metric) holes compared to XY to early XF (imperial) Don't use a leaded flywheel on a later crank. If you were going the other way it's easy to drill the flywheel holes to 7/16".

Thanks for that, thats great news.

Now to see if a 6bolt EL clutch will fit on an XF flywheel.
So spewing, I had a 6 bolt flywheel from an EFI XE, but that got thrown out by my old man during a shed clean-up.

Ooops, I was wrong.

Thanks for correcting me, xdee.

The EF had extra bolts on the bellhousing, not the crank. Next time, don't listen to me.

Just for more supporting evidence, I have an EB falcon flywheel on my 250 pre crossflow, you just have to drill out the bolt holes to get it to work. The major advantage is the ability to use a good clutch assembly. I have a heavy duty 6 bolt pressure plate and the larger 255mm clutch disc, haven't had a problem with it yet.

yeah i also thought late xf flywheels do fit later engines,i also thought the cranks were interchangeable but im not 100%?
