ok does the xg ute have the same crossflow as the xf? if it does would it bolt straight into a cortina like the xf 250? if it does this gives me a few more options as far as transplants go. any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, but XGs have OHC engines, a 4litre with EA type injection, no crossflow at all.
A OHC should go into a cotry just as easy as the crossflow, the package size is essentially the same, If I was doing this Id pick the ED they have compatable mountings .

so the edhas compatible mounts with the cortina? beacause as far as i know it won't bolt straight in and it sits forward. i would like to get out of this with out any modified mounts or radiator or anything like that.
