Ford I6 200 cid oil pump

Rebuilding a 1967 Mustang 200 cid 6. Need to make some mods to the sump and pan.
Doe's anyone know. can I use a ford 300 cid oil pump on a ford 200 cid block? I need to use the side pick up tube attachmnet on the 300's pump, to install a rear sump pick up tube and strainer.

The 300 is wrong in a lot of ways. A 250 has rear side pick up mount, its volume is like a 300 ,302 etc. The 250 can be made to fit, but you have to drill and tap ,new mounting points(pattern is larger) .Pump mounting hole need to be elongated or you will run out of room on the block. Oil hole in pump and block need to ported to line up. Pan need some mods because pump is larger .Do not remember which drive shaft I used , just make sure it is not to long or to short. Do at your own risk.

That said, late model foxs used rear sump, would that work?
