I did a four hole plate for a V8 a while back.
I managed to get a steel rem piece fairly cheap.
The holes and outside dimensions were water cut and we finished the holes to the final size on our mill.
Then it got sent out to be Blanchard Ground.
I had around $450 in that plate not counting our own shop time.
$450 for a six hole plate delivered to the door is a good price.
For My curiosity: What would the bore dia. need to be on a deck plate ? How many .ooo" over the bore required bore size? And what would the thickness of plate need to be?

The material is going to be costly. You'll need to use a really hard steel like A36 or else the plate will be somewhat of a cushion when it's torqued and not be effective for the purpose you're using it for.
