So I finally got my trany fixed up & can now drive safely.
The carb I'm sure needs some attenetion. On starting there's a huge black soot patch at the tailpipe.
In the cool morning there's no acceleration, I guess hesitation/bogging down would be the description; but at speed it cruises just fine.
After it warms up it seem to run better.
Also it SUCKS down the gas! I put in about $30 the other day, the gauge went to 7/8, drove ~10-12mi nad it was down to 5/8 tank!
I'm not to intelligent on adjusting & tinkering, but am up to try some things before I seek local help. It was supposedly rebuild the same time the tranny was rebuilt 3yrs ago; but that tranny build was &#!!**#
so it's possible the carb was either improperly rebuilt or adjusted too.
The choke does not close on accelerator mash down (cold start). It's hard to start after sitting a few days, once it starts there's no high rpm warm up, just goes into normal idle.
Suggestions/ideas???
