upgrading to a DSII.and so I cut the pink wire then I noticed I have 2 pink resistance wires going to my 68 falcon ignition switch. the one is skinny pink wire that is all crazy long and loops around the harness and the other on is thicker wire with a silver wire core.they both say do not cut or splice resistance wire??I am guessing the loopy thin one is the coil hot wire?what is this thicker resistance wire it is almost a salmon color?? has anyone run into this?someone has put a different ignition switch in this car and spiced all the wires to it.both of these wires are spiced off other wires.wondering if I need to start with a different harness??

I don't know you have going on, but why did you cut the pink wire? There is no reason for that installing a stock DSII system.
