200-250 performance parts comparison

I was just wondering if headers from a 200 will fit on a 250, i found a dual outlet one on a local website for cheap and was wondering.

IIRC...

Typically 200 headers on a 250 cause the headers to hit the starter due to the 250's taller deckheight raising the headers outlet relative to the starters location.

maybe....the 200 and 250 use the same head but the head is two inches higher on the 250.

My info is limited to Hooker Headers which should have a Part Number stamped on mating flange. . : Hooker 6602 series should fit the 250. The more common 6601's fit the 144/170/200 with High Mount starter.

Wether either will fit IN depends on your application.

If they don't fit and you dont mind passing on the deal to another, I'd take them off your hands for sure! I dont think the shipping would be too outrageous.

Are they "shortie" headers like the ones on Clifford's website?

If you note on his website, the header for a round body Falcon will fit a 144/170/200/250 engine.

So it really depends on the design of the header.

yeah its a long tube header, too bad, im going to buy it anyways to put on my 61 8)
