The figures are 365 to 385 pounds, with the the later 200 3.03 block heavier.
The US 250 has been quoted in Car Crafts 1972 Maverick verses Dodge Dart /AMC Rebel comparison as 460 pounds, about 10 pounds less than a cast iron intake 2-bbl 302 (470 pounds). I'd be supprised if the250 engine was only 50 pounds lighter, as the 250 has a SBF cast flange much bigger than any 2.77 or 3.03 200, and based on the displaced iron of a 9.469" deck verses 7.803", the weight difference should be 82 pounds. The crankcase is 11 inches wide, not 9.125", so another point of weight increase. The crank and bearings are bigger, and its a lot heavier than the 170 or 200.
The 240 and 300 is quoted as 490 pounds. Thermocator air pump, flywheel and generator verses alternator cause a big difference, the ancilllaries must be weighed the same way. Most 250's have alternators, not generators, big saving there!
In a similar way, the 490 pound 300 if made on a 4.08" bore spacing rather than 4.48, it would be 446 pounds. The US 250 is a heavy little beast
The Australian iron headed 250 cross flow was heavier than the factory 302, at 520 pounds. When equiped with an alloy head, it was 481 pounds.
