Hey gents, I can't find any info on this anywhere... I need to remove the dipstick tube so that I can get to the last bolt and ultimately remove the oil pan. How does that damn thing come out? I don't want to destroy it, so any advice would be more than helpful. Thanks in advance...

I use a vise grip to pull them it takes a light touch just enough to grip it without crushing or bending it. Set it right at the bead next to the block than turn it back a forth and pull up a little at a time.

When you go to reinstall the old tube or purchase a new one, i put some red locktite on a clean tube & clean hole in the block.
That will normally hold the tube in tight.
Worse senereo is put some stud lock instead of the red locktite.
I use red locktite on my rifle scopes at the mounting surface to hold them in place. Pine sap works good on rifle scope mounts, but don't use it for your engine. Bill
