Mine measure 3 1/8" or slightly less for the shank of the bolt. The thick head on it makes the bolts total length just under 3 1/2". The first 2" of the shank has no threads. 7/16th" coarse looks right for the thread size. The head of the bolt has a raised wahser shaped area under it so the corners of the bolts head won't be rubbing against the engines head when torqueing the bolt down.
They are rated at 125,000 psi.
If you can find a source of something better, then let us know. I wouldn't trust 125K rated studs unless the engine was stock.
You can also buy 7/16" threaded rod (bolting) in 36" lengths of grade 8 and cut them to any length you want. That is what I did. I also bought grade 8 washers and nuts. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r54/ ... 140002.jpg
Oh yeah Bort I absolutely agree that 125ksi is strong, when you consider run of the mill steel is 36ksi. I don't know if for head bolts that additional strength of the ARP studs/bolt would make much difference. The rod and main bolts might see loading where the additional strength would make a difference.
