I'm in agreement that it is likely a 200. It just doesn't seem bulgy enough at the pan line for a 250. And what I can see of the water pump seems to be 200 style. The dead giveaway is the high mount starter location.
The D8XX casting # indicates that it is likely a good head, can't really tell if it's a flat-top log or not.
The 1st 250s were casting #C9XX. I'm sure that's what Jack meant.
The valve cover has a little wire slipin holder type deal that came stock on my fairmont and its a 200... anyone ever seen one a 250? and its a pain when you wanna sand it down cuz the sander wont fit in der
