Something I've been wondering... can any roots type blower be used as a draw through setup? And is it as effective, because you're trying to compress the liquid fuel?

And if you're going to do that much fabrication, why not put a throttle body instead of a carb and mount the injectors in the 3 tubes going to the offy-like intake?

Roots blowers don't compress the air, they scavenge it. therefore you're not trying to compress the fuel.

Screw blowers on the other hand do have an internal compression factor and so they don't like to have fuel run through them. It doesn't hurt them but the fuel ends up pumped to the extreme end of the blower and separates from the intake charge.

So in short if you use the Eaton with a carby you've got no problems at all. You could use a 350 or 500 2BBL holley with good effect.

It's not internally compressed by a Roots blower, but when the charge backs up in the intake tract it is.

Yeah, that's what I said.

Roots blowers don't compress the charge.

Screw blowers do.

Maybe I should slow down when reading.

I'll forgive you....millions wouldn't :)

I'm surprised more guys aren't trying the Eaton route given the amount of blowers floating around.

Then again when you look at DOES 10's car it kinda makes all the fabrication and pulley alignment seem like too much hard work. :)

Fair warning, the Eaton M90's DON'T have sealed rear case bearings and Fuel can get at them in a suck through setup. I have lots of experiance with M90's owning a supercoupe.

Yeah, the Eaton would be at the limit of what I can do. I believe I would have more margin for error with the turbo setup. The only drawback is that I love the way true duals sound.

Same here. Sucker for supercharged cars. I was thinking of just getting my hands on a cheap supercharger and running low boost for now then getting a better charger set-up down the road.
