Hi can anyone tell me the standard rocker ratios for a 221 motor ? Also is it possible or faesible to put different ratio rockers in to obtain more lift ? I have been told my cam is a 20/60 with about 400 thou lift at the valves not much more than standard I think and I would like a bit more !
Thanks Dan

You can buy steeper ratio standard type rockers from the US. Or, get Yella Terra "Street Terra" roller rockers, with new pushrods and lifters.

Lift isn't everything with these motors. Over 450 probably won't see much benefit on a near-stock head. Plus you would need to use double springs and that starts to add more stress to the valvetrain... By all means add a geardrive and make it a street/strip motor with man-size cam lobes but note a moderate dual pattern cam will provide a lot of satisfaction in a well-planned system.

Honestly, the amount of time one is able to drive fast these days I think nitrous looks a good option. Fright on demand.

Thanks Addo. I should have looked further in the forums as I found most of the info there, it takes a lot of searching at times.
Not sure what you mean by geardrive, but I certainly agree that it is rare you can put your foot down these days. I guess I'II just do a bit at a time and see how it goes as i progress.. Just want it NOW I guess...
Regards Daniel
