I just dropped a 74 Mav 250 into my 66 Mustang. After reading the Tech site, I was afraid I would have to use an electric fan (thus delaying my project as I saved money for one). However, I was able to use the original 200 fan spacer, which is about two inches shorter than the 250, modifying it a bit to fit onto the 250 water pump snout. With that set up, I got about an inch of clearing between the fan and the radiator, and with plenty of clearing of the belts and pulleys. Because it is not a flex fan, it should clear it even while running, thus solving the problem. I just figured I would post this somewhere in case it could help anyone, since I have asked so many questions here before.
Nate.

Good point to keep in mind... I almost went with a 250 in my 68, but opted to get an already rebuilt 200 again for it (being it was my daily driver in college and did not have time for any kind of major modding, etc :-\). And what happens a few months later- i get into a wreck with said 68... life's not fair sometimes..
