Hey!

Are there any bolt-in motor mounts for putting a 250 in a 68' Mustang? We're just about to that point . What mounts did you use, Does10's?

Seems like I've read something about the Maverick 250 mounts working, though I could not seem to find a thread that addressed that specifically.

Thanks!

From what I recall about he Maverick mounts you have to drill a new hole in your shock tower in order to get 2 bolts through them and the car. I have not performed this mod.

What I have that does work for you is a set of '69 Mustang 250 motor and frame mounts they bolt directly in and make concessions to sit the motor down lower in the engine bay. I wish I had an extra set but I got these from my new step-dad and they are going to be used in my '67 to install a 250.

Some people have gotten stock motor and frame mounts to work by slotting the holes in the motor mounts (engine side) and then leaving the frame bolts loose while the lower the motor into the car then bolt up the transmission. Then once everything is in place go back through and tighten up everything.

i used the stock mounts in my 65 ranchero and the motor sits pretty far forward. and the oil pan might hit the sway bar.

We also used the stock '63 Falcon 170 mounts with the 250. Bolted right up! No modifications at all.
