That is the M series oil pan, you can see the wide part of the pan below the oil breather tube on the carburetor side of the engine. That is the type of carburetor I prefer over the glass bowl carb. If you want absolute proof this is a 254 get the seller to email you a picture of the part number on the side of the block; it is just above the oil pan rail.
