After 18 months of false starts including 14 months of not having a place to work on the car and my most of my tools in storage while we decided where to settle, I think I am finally ready to get started back on installing a 2V converted head. Had Mikes machinist do the the work on a D8 head. I'm needing some advise on how and with what carb to proceed. I've got both, a used Holley with the adapter, but no spacer and a new Weber I caught on sale a year ago, but I don't have an adapter or spacer. Even though I think that I will have to have it "re-jetted" my gut tells me go with the Weber because it's much newer and a progressive and spend the extra for the adapter and the spacer. Needs some feedback.
The second area is the accelerator linkage. I'm totally lost. I've got the accelerator pedal, bracket and cable from an '82 Zepher as advised previously, but I do not know how to proceed. Does anyone have detailed pictures of how you installed the accelerator and the various brackets used to route the cable. I've checked the pictures on the CI site, but can't make out enough detail to determine what to do.
