All of the work can be accomplished with a few tools (drill, hole saw, dremel/file). The biggest pain is setting up the return springs.
Does is help? Definitely. It requires a lot of tuning and frequent tuning. The power is definitely there. I can get the tires to bark shifting into 2nd gear at 25 MPH.
If you are thinking of this for a daily driven car, I would shy away from it. It's better for weekend or show cars.
