300 carb on 250 head

300 carb on 250 head with bolt on pedal and cable... all fron the junk yard :)

so I have 2 carter YFA 220cfm one does have smog everything :( the other smog nothing :) (Thanks 82F100!)
to get the carter to fit on the head I found a 250 carb spacer that had EGR crap on it, I've grinded it off, and will fill it with the JB-weld
the pedal and throttl cable I scored off a 90's grand marqui, has the snap on ball connection. not too sure about the pedal but I'll see once I'm into it.
found a f150 with a 300, snagged braket for the cable because it fitted the cable and I'll be able to run a bolt to lock it on.

the end goal would have me be able to bolt on and off either the autolite 1100 or the carter YFA, sadly when I would like too, I'll have change over my pedal and linkage every time, hopefully I'll think of a way... :hmmm:

thanks guys because of you there are plenty of searchable topic's here that have helped me out for cable gas pedal conversion, I just thought I' might share what I've found so far that might help others.

BTW the cable and pedal and cable braket was $13 today, half off thursdays :)

I'll hopefully post some picks when it's done.

Good get. I'll be interested to hear how this project goes. How the big YF will compare with an 1100. Keep us posted. COuld I ask you for a height measurement on the 300 YF? Just for comparison to smaller YFs and the RBS Carter. Thanks in advance.

Man, even higher, not 4 my app.

Why change back n forth between the 2 (yf/1100)? Or is it just a once-every-few-yrs thing?
