Looking for some help with my 3x1 weber setup.
Have a few questions for those of you that have run these sucsessfully.

1.Are you running the outboard carbs progressive from the center?
2. If so, at what point do you have the outboards beginning to open in relation to the center? 40%, 50%, 60% ???
3. are you using a pressure reg? What psi?
4. Where is a good starting point for idle mixture setting
5. Where is a good place to buy jets.
6. Am I even asking the right questions

thanks
Dale

http://fordsix.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... ting+table try this link some of the forum members are working on.yes on the first question center opens till about 50% then the end start to open. to set them hold the center carb wide open then adjust the sliding stops so the end carbs will also be wide open.once you have that set then the out board opening point is set also.the webers do need a pressure regulator set at 3 psi. i bought mine from auto zone its a mr gasket for about $21.00. on the idle mixture i started with the mixture screws 1 1/2 out. the stock weber carbs will need both an idle jet and main jet change to keep from being too lean . the jetting chart is a good starting point. I have been getting my jets from weber carbs direct. http://www.webercarbsdirect.com/

Thanks for the help. The biggest help was your other post suggesting to check the O rings under the Offy. Big time vac leak. Running much better. idle around 700, a little lopey, probably from the cam. Much stronger top end. Still a little lean but new jets should fix that. I ordered jets from Weber per the jetting table. Where can I get a gasket for the carb top cover so I can change the main jet. I could not find just the gasket or even a kit to order on the weber site. I will call their tech support Monday.
I set up my linkage a little different than the Offy setup. Less moving parts. I will post pics soon.
thanks again.
Dale
