yea buddy,,,
the rack on the late model has all smooth toped "risers", and the rack from an early one (like mine) has offset studs mounted on two of them to mount the rocker cover. basicly, i believe the parts are interchangeable. IE: retainer springs, shaft, rockers...
i am 99% positive the differences END there on the heads, BUT the damn things change in the same model year for the truck/car applications?...
i had no idea the truck 223 and the one for pass cars have some pretty big differences... like the dizzy oil pump drive shaft, and the oilpump drive "socket"
on the cars, its a sloted, round drive on the dizzy, and the truck has a longer-hex shaped drive for the pump,,,
OR.. is this just a later style dizzy shaft/pump configuration?
i dont understand the need for the differences in engine design, but i wonder if the drive sockets in the pumps are interchangable???
