66' Muffler ?

My muffler right now is rumbling but not exactly in a good way ... so i want to replace it ... i want to do it myself but my dad says i shouldnt and i cant ... could I ... if so how would i do it and what would you suggest ... i was thinking either borla or 40 series ...

hey
you need a welder a hack saw at minium and know how to weld if you have those 3 things avaible then can be done but bugger off the muffler and just put in a bit of pipe there wont blow that muffler out again lol
